Placing and Spreading the Concrete
We use a concrete pump for placement and spread the concrete with a square-ended shovel or come-along, not a garden rake or other tined tool. Spreading is a separate step from consolidation; moving the concrete into place does not finish the job.
Consolidating the Driveway
We consolidate the concrete, paying particular attention to the form edges. On larger driveway areas, we may use a vibrating screed or an internal vibrator. The equipment can change with the area being placed, but the edges still need attention.

Our installed concrete driveway pricing ranges from $6 to $12 per square foot. Use the square footage of your planned driveway to calculate a budget range, rather than treating the lowest rate as a fixed price for the whole job.
