Selecting the concrete mixture
We select a concrete mixture appropriate to the foundation work and the placement method. We do not add excess water to increase slump or make the concrete easier to place. Mix selection and delivery method belong in the same plan, rather than treating placement as a decision to make once the truck arrives.
Getting concrete to the pour location
We deposit concrete near its final position using a truck chute, wheelbarrows, buggies, or a pump, as appropriate for the job. When discussing your foundation, ask which placement method we plan to use and how the concrete will reach the pour location. That gives you a concrete detail to review before work begins, rather than just a description of the finished foundation.
Using the installed price range
For an initial budget, multiply the foundation’s square footage by the per-square-foot range above. A 500-square-foot foundation, for example, gives a range of $4,000–$12,500 installed. That calculation is a budgeting range, not a project-specific price. We need to identify the job and placement method before selecting the mixture; the range alone does not describe the work your foundation requires.
