Consolidating the concrete
We tamp the concrete along the form edges to consolidate it. On larger placements, we use a vibrating screed or an internal concrete vibrator.
Leveling the pour
We strike off and level the concrete with a lumber or metal screed, using the forms as our guide. As we move across the pour, we fill low spots rather than leaving them in the surface.
